Valorant not launching after downloading League of legends

I started downloading LOL but stopped it halfway through, shut down my pc and after a while i wanted to get on Valorant but it directs me to the Riot client, and the lauching icon says "update" but when i click it it says "initialisation" for a couple seconds then back to "update", i think it has something to do with the unfinished LOL installation because i never had this issue before.
