I'm trying to install the scanning software for my Brother ADS-1300. Doesn't seem to work at all via Bottles, but I can get the installer to run in Lutris. However, when I get to the point it's trying to detect my scanner, it's unable to find it. Scanner is connected via USB and is turned on. I've also unplugged and re-plugged the usb cable. My local system sees the device (I see the notification popup) but the installer doesn't see it.
Do I need to grant some sort of access somewhere? Or is this simply not possible?

it's not possible to run stuff that needs hardware access through a compatibility layer sorry
