Particle bug on 1.21.1 (NeoForge)

Hi all. I am experiencing a weird visual glitch with particles in my instance when using path tracing shaders - see the image. Basically every single particle in the game has a weird glitchy sheen to it and appears to glow.
Running Minecraft 1.21.1, Iris 1.8.1, Sodium 0.6.13 on NeoForge 21.1.219.
The screenshot is from a modded instance, but I can replicate it on a fresh one with only Sodium and Iris. Changing versions of the mods or NeoForge (on MC 1.21.1) doesn't fix the issue.
Using Fabric on 1.21.1, or the newest NeoForge version on 1.21.11 seems to fix it. But since a lot of content mods are only available on NeoForge 1.21.1 I was wondering if anyone knows what the issue is / of a fix? Thanks in advance
