Duplication in different albums

When I joined Ente, I dedicated myself for about 4 months whereby I combined all existing photos from hard drivers, mobiles, and Google takeout. Used several different apps to reduce duplicates and similar images. Got a good result which I uploaded to Ente.
I then shared a album of those photos with my wife. Everything great until the moment that she decided to not delete her photos from her iPhone.
As we are part of a family, she has her own albums and access to the shared one.
What happens is to avoid duplication I had to use the Shortcuts, create a logic to create a specific album on her iPhone (called new photos) and run it on a weekly basis just to avoid uploading the same photos to Ente. I allowed Ente only to backup this specific folder.
Until the moment that she was tired of me doing this and she decided to allow all albums to Ente.
Sorry for the long context, but the question is simple. Does Ente search for duplicates across different albums, even those shared?
