Screen flashing black after login

Upon login, I see my wallpaper for a moment, then the screen flashes black. It does this two more times before staying black with a mouse cursor. I can still launch programs like dolphin from the terminal (launched via keyboard shortcut), but I can't use anything that modifies or is modified by kde plasma. System settings for example shows a bus error when attempting to launch via terminal.
I'm currently using the Nvidia desktop image, but am using an AMD card (upgraded a few months ago, never got around to rebasing)
So far, I've tried (in order):
ujust update
Rebasing to Bazzite:stable (failed)
renaming the .config folder
Creating a new user account
rpm-ostree reset (removed 1 entry/4.6gb)
I didn't have enough time to try rebasing after the reset (had to leave for work), but plan to try again when I'm able to. Any other things I could try to get the machine up and running?
