I'm trying to get my Thrustmaster TX wheel working in Bazzite, after reading in a release post that hid-tmff2 is now baked in.
When connecting my wheel to my PC, it starts up and is detected by the system:
[ 1017.138124] usb 5-3: USB disconnect, device number 11
[ 1025.822389] usb 5-3: new full-speed USB device number 12 using xhci_hcd
[ 1025.971746] usb 5-3: New USB device found, idVendor=044f, idProduct=b664, bcdDevice= 1.01
[ 1025.971752] usb 5-3: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[ 1025.971755] usb 5-3: Product: Thrustmaster TX GIP Racing Wheel
[ 1025.971757] usb 5-3: Manufacturer: Thrustmaster
[ 1025.971759] usb 5-3: SerialNumber: 0000C300838F0892
[ 1025.983859] input: Generic X-Box pad as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:08.1/0000:0b:00.3/usb5/5-3/5-3:1.0/input/input37
The wheel resists movement as if the force feedback is working, but it's not registering inputs. I can't see the hid-tmff2 module loaded:
$ lsmod | grep hid
hid_logitech_hidpp 81920 0
hid_logitech_dj 45056 0
hid_playstation 53248 0
led_class_multicolor 16384 1 hid_playstation
ff_memless 24576 2 xpad,hid_playstation
uhid 28672 0
If I try to load the module, I get:
$ sudo modprobe hid-tmff2
modprobe: FATAL: Module hid-tmff2 not found in directory /lib/modules/6.17.7-ba24.fc43.x86_64
...suggesting that the module isn't included after all?
Is there an Atomic friendly way I can load the module in myself, or is something wrong with my install?
