Displaying gamemode to a Laptop Monitor

I am using the nvidia version of bazzite with my laptop. It has worked flawlessly with external monitors and tvs, however I would like to use the internal monitor. I've attempted to use the following guide to select a monitor but it doesn't want to work. https://docs.bazzite.gg/Handheld_and_HTPC_edition/quirks/#how-do-i-specify-the-correct-monitor-for-gaming-mode-to-use-htpc-only
