Asus ROG Ally laggy after charging in suspend

I've noticed a strange behavior - when I put my ROG Ally into sleep/suspend and then connect a charging cable to charge the device while it sleeps - next time when I disconnect the cable and resume from sleep/suspend, Ally becomes laggy, and only restarting the device helps. (Please note that it does not happen all the time, some times it's fine, but then it will happen randomly when doing the above described actions)
