Bug Report: Cron scheduler advances nextRunAtMs without executing jobs
Version: 2026.2.3-1 (macOS, Apple Silicon)
Issue: Cron jobs stopped executing. The scheduler advances nextRunAtMs to the next interval but never actually runs the agentTurn payload. Jobs show lastRunAtMs: null despite being scheduled and past-due multiple times.
What we tried:
• Gateway restart (multiple times)
• Cleaned orphan sessions from sessions.json
• Removed and recreated jobs
• Updated from 2026.2.1 → 2026.2.3 → 2026.2.3-1
• cron wake mode=now — returns ok but doesn't trigger jobs
• cron run jobId=xxx — returns ran: false, reason: "not-due"
Observed behavior:
• On startup: cron: started with nextWakeAtMs in logs
• When scheduled time passes: nextRunAtMs advances +5min (for everyMs: 300000)
• No cron session created, no run history, lastRunAtMs stays null
• Jobs have wakeMode: "next-heartbeat" and sessionTarget: "isolated"
Trigger: Possibly related to API outage earlier (credits ran out for ~2hrs), which may have corrupted scheduler state. But restarts and cleanup didn't fix it.
