Fortnite not starting (Windows)
windows✅solvedHi! So as the title says Fortnite is not starting on Windows (I'm using Heroic as an alternative to Epic since it's so bloated and slow).
Basically it was working fine... until I had to reinstall windows (keeping my personal files), so I also had to reinstall Heroic. To avoid redownloading fortnite I just imported the game directory and tried to start it, it didn't work.
What I tried so far:
- Rebooting (of course)
- Getting EAC to install by running "EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe install prod-fn" in admin cmd
- Verify and repair (no files to repair, was showing in logs)
- Installing epic games launcher and pointing it to the directory (it successfully launched fortnite from the same files)
Also I noticed that after using the Epic Games launcher, starting "FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping_EAC_EOS.exe" from the file explorer starts it successfully.
