Ethernet is capped at 100 mb/s

I have a fresh install of bazzite and my download speed has been locked in at 100 MB/s. This appears not to be an issue but a setting of some sort.
Using a CAT6 cable from wall to router and router to PC.
Solid green and flashing orange light on the 2.5G ethernet port on my MSI X670 Carbon.
Inspected the wired settings of the system via Settings > Network > Wired > connected - 100 mbps (this is clearly the issue but i cannot figure out a solution) > Network Settings // metered connection disabled, IPv 6 Disabled.
Ran ip addr to get the network name, matched IP from the network connection to the ip addr for verification. Updated ethtool too utilize 1000mbps over 100mbps. System restart. internet got slower. went from a peak of 94 mbps to 32 mbps
Note: I have installed Bazzite on 4 systems this week. My personal PC and a second PC with Bazzite KDE, and a legion go + ROG Ally with Bazzite Gnome. Handhelds have had no issue with the wifi connection but both PC's are locked in at 100 mbps.
