I've looked up this issue several times over the past year, and I'm becoming very fed up with it
I've tried several things that haven't seemed to help (changing buffer sizes, delay, among a few other things) but some games still refuse to have stable audio
A few games that work 100%:
- Overwatch
- Helldivers II
- Warframe
- Delivery & Beyond
- Cult of the Lamb
- Wild Assault
- Dinkum
etc
Games that glitch audio in specific scenarios:
- Team Fortress 2 Classified (main menu, but in-game is fine)
- Snowbreak (Loading screen and video cutscenes make audio stutter, but otherwise fine)
- Deadlock (Only after playing nearly a full game, it will glitch until I restart the game)
Games that cut audio 40% of the time:
- Lockdown Protocol
(There are a few others in this category I forgot over the past year, but I've recently been trying to debug just this one)
Games that cut audio nearly entirely:
- Data Center Demo (when fully connecting a PC, and the wires have lights indicating connection, audio is broken nearly 99% of the time)
- Hunt and Snare (constant audio bugs)
Also something interesting I just recently came across
(context, I got a "legal" copy of Lockdown Protocol just to test fixes without increasing time in-game so I could refund it if no fix could be found)
(Yes I own Lockdown Protocol at this time)
- Bought version of Lockdown Protocol has audio issues
- "Legal" version of Lockdown Protocol has no audio issues whatsoever
There seems to be no pattern to what games do/don't work, so it's frustrating to figure out, so if anyone could assist, it would be greatly appreciated
