Is borg needed if ZFS snapshots are available?

I'm currently running Immich using docker compose on truenas (not as app).
Since borg is difficult to install on truenas, I was wondering whether it is even needed.
If I have ZFS snapshots enabled for the entire immich folder, it'll not only capture the asset files, but also the daily database dumps.
Shouldn't that be enough to fully restore immich?
