Games silently crash/do not launch.

I've tried Dead Cells, Human Fall Flat and Portal they all fail only native linux games work. From what i know vulkan works fine when trying to get the logs using this Launch option PROTON_LOG=1 %command% the log do not appear or at least i can't find it. This is a fresh install, I reinstalled it once already it had the same issue then. Can anybody help me? I am on a Lenovo legion go with dual booting.
Solution
for some reason it downloaded the steam linux runtime onto the sd card even though i specificly installed portal on the internal storage drive
