Telegram inbound messages received but never dispatched to a session
Bug: Telegram inbound messages received but never dispatched to a session
Version: 2026.2.9
OS: macOS 26.2 (arm64), Node 25.6.0
Bot: @verycoolclawbot (long polling mode)
Symptoms:
openclaw channels status --probe → Telegram OK, works
openclaw doctor → clean
Outbound messages via message tool deliver fine
Raw updates appear in logs (gateway/channels/telegram/raw-update)
But messages never route to any session — no embedded run, no error, no deny/skip log. Silently dropped.
Config: dmPolicy: "open", allowFrom: ["*"], full template applied. Tried pairing first with user already in telegram-allowFrom.json.
Tried: Hot reload (SIGUSR1), cold restart (Ctrl+C + openclaw gateway), openclaw doctor --non-interactive, cleared nothing.
History: Bot token was swapped from @eaglebasicbenybot to @verycoolclawbot. Telegram channel+plugin were wiped and re-added.
