WhatsApp inbound messages not received (outbound works)
Setup: OpenClaw 2026.2.24, macOS (Mac Mini), fresh WhatsApp account on Android, linked via QR
Issue: After linking, openclaw channels status shows WhatsApp as connected with in:1m ago updating — but zero inbound message events appear in logs. No messages.upsert events fire at all.
What works:
Outbound via message tool delivers successfully
Sending from the Android primary device delivers to recipients
Config is correct: dmPolicy: allowlist, sender number in allowFrom
What doesn't work:
DMs from iPhone to bot number: Android receives notification but gateway logs show nothing
No read receipts sent back
No deny/drop/route events — complete silence
Logs show only:
[whatsapp] [default] starting provider (+55...)
[whatsapp] Listening for personal WhatsApp inbound messages.
No further activity despite confirmed message delivery to the number.
Possibly related: Baileys issue WhiskeySockets/Baileys#1767 ("Waiting for Message")
