Trouble getting sifu running in game mode

In desktop mode it boots up and runs perfectly. In gaming mode I can only launch it through heroic launcher but it only detects keyboard and mouse. After adding it to steam and restarting so that it appears in my library, it wouldn't launch, everytime I tried it just boot be out and back to my library.
