The Battle of Polytopia Not Launching

I'm trying to play The Battle of Polytopia from Epic. I'm on an M4 MacBook Pro, and I'm launching the macOS build. However, when I click Play, Heroic says the game is Playing for a little while.....but then it just stops without launching anything.
