Old chunks not updating with now world height data

DH 2.4Fabric/QuiltMC 1.21.xI server i play on (geocraft.nl) recently updated their server from 1.17 to 1.21.11 and in the process with the new max world height from 1.18 all the DH chunmks are too lowwhich causes this weird effect.
i expected just moving over them would update the chunks but in reality only a few chunks here and there update.
Is there a way to solve this? i setting maybe to force update chunks?
I rather not delete all my data:(
