Switching from Fedore 43 KDE Plasma to Bazzite?

Hi, first of all, sorry if this was asked already, but I searched and couldn't find anything.
I am currently using Fedora 43 KDE Plasma and am interested in switching to bazzite, but I have a few questions.
1. Is it possible to get Geant4 and OpenMC running? I need them for work, and with Bazzite's immutability, I am a bit worried about it being more difficult to get set up than it already is. Both can be built from source with CMake, but Geant4 requires a ton of additional packages.
2. Is it possible to rebase, or will I have to do a full install? The Bazzite docs only list the Fedora Atomic desktops for rebasing, but since Bazzite has a KDE plasma version, would I still be able to rebase from Fedora 43 KDE Plasma instead of just silverblue/kinoite?
3. If a full install is needed, can I keep my files / encryption setup, or would it be better to offload the important things to an external drive and format?
