Question about Support for different Storage layer as backend?

Right now, AFAIK, immich does not support 3rd party storage providers, all files are stored on the bare level file system/
My question is will immich in future have support for different storage providers as a backend, for example S3 compatible storage layer either Self-Hosted S3 or 3rd party?? like miniIO or seaweedFS(very popular S3 Self Hosted Storage).
is that in the road map somewhere or planned or not???
Also support for encryption?? Files just sit on the system unencrypted.
Both can be answered in the same post.. Would these 2 features be possible in the future, if not by default but optional???
