FPS Lag even with only SML installed

I'm curious if anyone has encountered this before. playing vanilla my game runs at 300+ fps smooth as butter. i had a modded playthrough 2000+hours (pre 1.0) average 250+ fps over 50+ mods never had a issue. now i come back for another modded playthrough, 30+mods fps 50~ and very choppy and borderline unplayable and vanilla 300+ fps and smooth. I've even done a fresh install of satisfactory and smm. I've also tested a game with only sml installed
