Hi - I know there have been a lot of threads/posts on problems like this: I have a Framework Laptop 13 (Ryzen 7040) and I have tried everything I know of to get wifi working but I haven't been able to solve it yet.
Initially I installed from ISO while using the RX616 wifi card, and got the "No secrets were provided" error when connecting to any network.
Things I have tried/checked after reading every word on the entire Internet:
- Disabled iwd with ujust toggle-iwd and went to wpa-supplicant. in this case the wifi will work for at most a minute but then drop as soon as I transfer any data, then reconnect after maybe 30-40 seconds and repeat.
- (after going back to iwd) Changed the wifi security to store the password unencrypted, or to ask every time (neither works).
- Disable/re-enable wifi after boot before connecting.
- Made sure the kde wallet exists and is open before trying to add the network.
- Manually disabled wpa-supplicant service and restarting NetworkManager.
- Replacing the wifi card with an Intel AX210 - exactly the same behavior on both iwd and wpa-supplicant.
- Full reinstall of Bazzite from a fresh ISO.
After reinstalling I noticed something weird, which is that after the iwd connection fails, if I try to connect to wifi again it seems to stop complaining about secrets and revert to the wpa-supplicant behavior above (working for a moment and then failing). Not sure what that means but this is before having made any manual changes to the iwd/wpa-supplicant config.
I am really at my wit's end with this thing. I would be willing to try (almost) anything to get it working.
