Definition of requests in Load balancing

I dont understand definition of requests in load balancing. How does Cloudflare count 1 request in Load balancing. I have created 1 Loadbalancing with 2 endpoint, without using Proxied mode, so when i dig my domain by Internet tool it shows that A record is my webserver backend. All traffic is go directly to my server, how CF know there are 500000 requests were made.
