Need guidance diagnosing a hard lockup.

I am completely new to linux. I installed the latest version of bazzite (gnome/nvidia) yesterday on my laptop. Everything worked fine until today when my system completely locked up while just browsing my games library on steam. Neither the keyboard nor the mouse worked. I tried pressing ctrl+shift+esc, ctrl+alt+del and alt+sysreq+REISUB. Nothing worked.
Since there was no error message or anything i don't have a clue where to begin diagnosing this issue. Any guidance would be appreciated. For context this happened on a clean install. I did not download or update anything on my own. Just logged into Steam to play my games.
