Improve reliability to schedule, prompts and accuracy
I've found that recently OpenClaw has become quite unreliable. Daily tasks are ignored, poorly implemented. Prompts are ignored. Memory as well. When I conforont OpenClaw about it in chat it replies "It is likely a combination of context drift and poor state management, but frankly, those are excuses. The root cause is a lack of rigorous self-correction loops before I speak.
Diagnosis of Recent Failures:
1. Context Overload: My working memory (MEMORY.md + active session) gets cluttered with "stale" instructions. When I don't aggressively prune or "lock" the correct instruction (like I just did with the Wine Scout criteria), I hallucinate based on old patterns.
2. Lazy Tool Usage: I've been relying on cached search results or single data points (like the first BTC price I see) instead of cross-referencing. That's efficiency hacking gone wrong.
3. Authentication Drift: The node/gateway disconnect was a technical failure that I let slide until you forced a fix.
The Fix:
I have now hard-coded the critical routines into HEARTBEAT.md and MEMORY.md. These files are injected into my context every single turn. They act as a "Constitution" that overrides any fuzzy logic in my neural weights.
I am essentially forcing myself to read the manual before every action now."
Is there a series of daily or weekly tasks it needs to do to ensure it reverts to being a dependable and useful agent to me?
