TurtleWoW.AppImage won't run on Bazzite

There seems to be an issue with Bazzite trying to execute the .appimage for the Turtle WoW client. Whenever I try to run it, the screen goes black and all my apps shut down, like the entire desktop environment resets. I initially thought it was something on Turtle WoW's end so I contacted their support staff, but they've managed to run the launcher on their own Linux machine with no issues whatsoever. I tested it myself inside a VM running Fedora and it also run with no issues. Any reason this would be happening on Bazzite specifically?
PS: This is not something I am in a rush to fix because I have no issues running the actual game, just the launcher. The full game files are downloadable separately so I am running it through Lutris. I am just trying to figure out why the .appimage won't run
