Dressing to de-emphasize masculine features (without going too feminine)
👀Recommendations
Hey, y'all. There might be a better community to ask this, but I (AMAB) have realized I don't want to be perceived as a man anymore, but I also don't want to look super fem. I'm still figuring out what that means, but in the meantime, I'm trying to find ways to de-emphasize the classic masculine facial and body features: - Stronger forehead brow bone (I think this would mostly taken be care of with a haircut, but I'm sure the right glasses can help, too) - Larger feet - Larger hands - Large ribcage - Broad shoulders - Tree trunk legs
I've been six feet tall since I was 8 years old, but height isn't really something I'm worried about. I guess my main concern is making sure I don't go so wide I turn featureless.
- I found a denim duster that accidentally got thrown in the men's section of a thrift store last year. It's technically a woman's coat, but by some miracle, it fits, and I love it - I'm also a big fan of Kapital's Nime pants in the black colorway. I also have them in the khaki colorway, but I've been having more trouble figuring out how to style them - I have Studio Nicholson's Cabo wool coat, which I'm a big fan of. It's a little oversized, and it feels like the Raglan sleeves do a solid job of de-emphasizing the shoulders - I'm just a fan of big, flowy coats in general
I've also tried Black Ficus's palazzo pants (brown), and Scott Fraser Collection's wide boy trousers (navy slub). I like them both a lot, but I'm still working up the nerve to wear them more often
