Database corruption UQ_assets_owner_checksum

I see more and more images are getting corrupted (fail to display) - even some of them going backwards.
I observe the following error when uploading a new image (see attached file).
Additionally, I see that the last database backup has been a week ago - I reckon it has to do with these failures.
What can I do to troubleshoot this issue?
