Is there a way to exclude a branch with non-production branch builds enabled?

WorkersCF Pages seems to have the branch control that I'm looking for:
https://developers.cloudflare.com/pages/configuration/branch-build-controls/
But this is not available in CF Workers. Is this intentionally not supported? Is there a workaround for this?
