Audio peak volume sensor sends comma as decimal separator (French locale issue)

Hi everyone!

I'm getting a recurring error in Home Assistant (every few seconds) related to a MQTT sensor published by HASS.Agent:

Value error while updating state of sensor.xxx_audio_peak_volume, topic: 'homeassistant/sensor/XXX/audio/eff770b6-ce7a-494b-a301-cc1682ad284c_peak_volume/state' with payload: b'79,20413970947266': Sensor sensor.xxx_audio_peak_volume has device class 'None', state class 'measurement' unit 'None' and suggested precision 'None' thus indicating it has a numeric value; however, it has the non-numeric value: '79,20413970947266' (<class 'str'>)

The issue seems to be that HASS.Agent is sending the decimal value using a comma (

) instead of a dot (

) as the decimal separator — likely because my Windows system locale is set to French.

Home Assistant expects a numeric value like

79.20

79.20

but receives

79,20413970947266

79,20413970947266

, which it can't parse.

Is there a way to fix this on the HASS.Agent side, without having to change the Windows system locale globally (which could impact other software like Excel)?
