Read-only messaging integrations
Hi, I want my Openclaw to act as a Chief Of Staff, monitoring my incoming comms (email, text, whatsapp, signal) and sending me digests a couple times a day monitoring my open loops of messages I should reply to, tasks I need to do, etc. I'm new to Openclaw.
For this I want it to have read-only access to my messaging services. Gmail seems to support read-only scope this via the REST API, but I haven't found good solutions for other services.
When read-only doesn't exist via the standard integration, I figure I can create it using an MCP which hosts the integration and exposes endpoints which only run the readonly paths I want to expose to my agent.
So my questions are along the lines of:
* does this already exist?
* I'm surprised if it doesn't, so am I missing something in my mental model? (Maybe I'm just not yolo enough!)
* is MCP the way to go for building it? Are there best practices for hosting MCPs for my mac-mini-deployed Openclaw?
