Freeze -> system hosed

1. Playing Civ 5 in game mode, as I have been for several weeks.
2. Screen suddenly freezes, sound still working.
3. Press and hold power button to shut down system
4. Boot again
Monitor now shows "no signal" even though HDMI audio is working.
I haven't updated recently. ostree:1 does the same thing.
bazzite-deck, Arc B580, Ryzen 5600XT. Wish I could tell you the Bazzite version, but I don't have video out.
