Yesterday, I noticed that my bazzite install(htpc) couldn’t connect to the internet anymore. It could still connect to anything locally, but nothing outside my local network(I.e. could ping router but not 8.8.8.8). The machine is connected via Ethernet and everything else on the network can access the internet fine.
I’ve been working on it more since and have found that toggling iwd(which disconnects from the wired connection) and then selecting the wired connection and reconnecting from the SteamOS Internet menu temporarily fixes the issue. Unfortunately, restarting the machine brings back the issue until I do that workaround again. I tried updating to latest stable tonight, but that didn’t fix it. I’ve also tried disabling tailscale, disabling ipv6 on my router, multiple reboots(obviously), connecting via WiFi, all to no avail. Can’t seem to find any results anywhere that point to a potential cause, especially given that the iwd toggle consistently fixes it for that boot. I did grab some logs that seem to be around the point that’d be relevant(shortly before the first apparent failure to reach anything outside my local network), but can’t make sense of them, myself.
