On screen keyboard pulls up but not working after fresh install in desktop mode - Legion Go

Keyboard pulls up fine and is scaled correctly to the desktop after reducing scaling to 200% but I am unable to actually use it to type. The keyboard appears to respond to touch but just doesnt do anything. Attached is a video of someone else experiencing the same issue I'm seeing but they didnt find a fix either.
