WebSocket connection failing on OBS

I'm making a web overlay for a stream. Now this overlay works perfectly fine in all browsers, however when put into an OBS browser source the WebSocket connection fails, stating:

WebSocket connection to 'ws://localhost:3000/api/rrm_v2/panel' failed: HTTP Authentication failed; no valid credentials available

. All I get on the server end is the ws Upgrade request being declined due to credentials, but i dont enforce needing any myself so it must be something internal that's being rejected. Anyone had any experience with this or suggestions on what i can do as its the only hurdle i have remaining.
