Troubleshooting steps for filament sensor false run out triggers
🤷other
Hello everyone, my recently upgraded 4.1 500 IDEX (everything stock) suddenly started having false runout detection for T0. It is not tangle/clog detection, I have that disabled until I find a proper low friction solution for feeding the filament. As you can see from the videos, I don't unload the filament. I tried wiggling the PTFE tube, but it does not affect the sensor triggering. To me the bridge connector from the sensor to the orbitool looks long enough and should be making good electrical/mechanical contact.
What would be the recommended steps? Is there something in the wiring that I need to check before I take anything apart for troubleshooting? Could it still be a bad bridge connector? Should I disassemble and reassemble T0? Should I try putting the T1 sensor on T0? Should I take the sensor apart to check the ball and sensor PCB or do I risk damaging it if I try to take it apart?
Thanks in advance for your time.
