hit ascendant and now I have to enable multi factor authentication but my phone doesn't support it

I just hit ascendant and now valorant wants me to install the riot mobile app but my phone is IOS 15 and to install it you have to have a IOS 16 or later. Is there some work around or am I just soft locked from competitive indefinitely
