I mean as an on-boot option. I know I that I can rebase to desktop only. But that's not what I'm asking for. I want to keep Game Mode.
Its not a huge deal to have to go to the steam menu and swap to desktop mode every time. But I was wondering if there was a shortcut key I can hold or something to immediately boot to the desktop.
If it helps to understand why I want this and what specifically I'm asking, here is my current use case for my desktop PC:
My desk and TV are right next to eachother so I switch from desktop to home theater a lot. Also my PC is somewhat small so it is easy to pick up and move to a different TV. About 60% of the time it is booted into Game Mode when I (or one of my partners) want to play my games on the TV and lounge. The other 40% is one of us using it as a desktop PC when either the TV is taken, one of us is playing a mouse heavy game like a shooter or RTS, or when one of us is needing a desktop PC for all the other things PCs do. So when we're using it for that 40% of the time to be used as a PC rather than game console, is there a way to skip right into desktop mode? Bonus points if it brings us to the user log in.
