Mic glitch?

My mic is not taking input, my input device is on default system device right now, when I switch it to my 'headphones' that I have on, my voice goes through but I get mono audio in game, so it's a trade between mono audio or my voice how can I fix it
Ps. I already tried handsfree option or whatever it was, I am not very technical guy so any help is appropriated
