I used to have a Zorin/Windows11 dual boot partitioned on the same disk, but the lastest Windows update everything has been a bit of a mess so I wanted to start fresh with Bazzite! I did run into the same "out of memory" errors others did before and wasn't able to install it. I did try: - turning off secure boot and fast boot - older as well as the latest motherboard bios - ran 3 passes of a MemoryTest without any errors - various USBs and ports - various mounting software including Ventoy - different versions of Fedora All give the same "out of memory" error.
Eventually I gave up and made a clean install of Zorin on a seperate disk than Windows! This worked fine until I had to switch back to Windows again and my drives were full of partitions again even though I never used those. After a reboot I couldn't even find the entire Zorin OS anymore! Even trying to reinstall now gave me the same "out of memory" errors as Bazzite and the other Fedoras did!
Does anyone have an idea why is going on with that? What am I missing here?
For those who want specs: - Asus Maximus Dark Hero z790 - Intel i9 14900K - RTX 4090 - 2x 32GB DDR5-6800 I doubt this isn't enough to run Linux!
