So - as far as I can tell obj materials don't really support materials with reflection maps. Certainly the .mtl file doesn't mention reflectivity. Furthermore Gravity Sketch hasn't even set that material to be particularly shiny if I'm reading the numbers correctly.

Yeah. You can totally get shiny materials from imported models. It does also depend on the environment you pick inside Open Brush (they have different reflection maps)

I believe gravity sketch uses vertex colors- not sure if roughness is included in that

I think that's all via the posteffects shader, which you can toggle in the config, it just breaks the preview on the camera right now

If you have a camera path it's fine though, as you can just set up the path, quit, change the config, and run again and it'll still work

Hey I have a Quest 2, I downloaded open brush in late April. I was able to mess around with it a few times without any problem. A little while later there was an update, then I haven’t been able to open it again. I’veuninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times. Any pointers on this? Thanks

interesting, I haven't seen that. When you say you can't open it.. what exactly happens? Do you see the initial splash screen, or does it just go back to the main Oculus home?

I did have something similar with a development build that I never found out what was happening... but seemed to be concurrent with my headset taking a rather long time to upgrade from v28 to v29. It sounds simple, but does a headset reboot help?

When I try to launch the app it goes to an initial black screen flickers the boundary and then crashes and goes right back to the main home environment. I could see it having to do with the v28 to v29 mine took a while too I think. I have tried restarting the headset and no noticeable change. You don’t mean more than restarting right?

Lol haven’t called the priest yet. Otherwise everything else is working fine. It does seem very odd. Well I’ll keep messing around with it and let you know if I find out the problem. Thanks for being responsive! I appreciate it.

I wonder if there’s something wonky where they’ve done a partial upgrade and there’s some library laying around that’s not compatible with something else... but I have no idea

Hi, sorry to disturb, but I need help. I just started with open brush on the valve index and I saw a video explaining how to add images into tilt brush and I was wondering how to do it with open brush since I can't find a media library in my folders. Any help is greatly appreciated, just know that I am a noob XD

The folder will be called Open Brush instead of tilt brush, everything else will be the same! You need to run the program at least once to generate it, if it still isn’t there your antivirus might be blocking the program!

Hello everybody! I am new here, artist wanting to dive into VR Art. I would like to develop a feature for OpenBrush (I come from Web Dev originally).

Here it is:
I usually paint with my feet (with rollerblades on), so I would like to paint using body trackers (Vive Trackers (3.0)). Ideally a tool that activate painting with one or more trackers. I think this tool could be interesting for dancers, and have all kind of applications.

If anybody that already knows the codebase could point me in the right direction, that would be awesome!

Great idea by the way. I can think of other uses. Another option is to use the API to create brush strokes based on input from another source - but built in tracker support would be better.
