I've never once turned off whois protection to do a transfer. Just FYI.

All of them. I've transferred ~15ish... "fun" domains... from Name.com to Porkbun.com -- never once turned off protection

I've only done from 2 different registrars. Gandi to Name.com. Then name.com to Porkbun. But, I've never done it.. and it's been suggested each time.

Not sure of that one. But best of luck. Worst case, I just assumed the transfer would fail. I'd get an account credit.. then I could transfer if I had to turn off the whois protection.
