Controller or mouse and keyboard?

I am about to start my first the forest game and I dont know if I should use mouse and keyboard or controller. Any suggestions? I am comfortable in either one.

Cant open chat

I press enter to open the chat but nothing happens, I restarted the game and even tried creative mode, is there something I can do ?

Base locations

I been searching for a day now and can’t find a perfect spot to build, I prefer to find one that’s Close to loot if possible In a dense part of the forest with a lot of trees so it’s well hidden and not in the open Perfectly flat area so I can build a big base at least 8x8 walls ...

Zipline Launcher/Rope Gun questions

When the first point has been anchored, and you're walking towards the second setup point, what is it that breaks the rope while attached to the gun? Is it distance? Going through obstacles? My big-back eating it?

Shotgun not shooting

the forest performance bug

so i played SOTF and it runs smoothly and sometime 40-50 fps but whenever i play the forest my game starts stuttering, i turned of vsync and lowered the graphic settings but nothing works
