Help spawning players in a custom dimension

What I want to do is actually what the title says, I want that when entering the server for the first time the players appear in a world that will serve as a "Lobby", this world is actually a dimension generated by a datapack and I have been trying to use MultiverseCore (I know it does not work with datapacks but it does detect the dimension as a separate world) and EssentialsX to put the server spawn in this dimension (Without success)

Solution:

Make sure you have EssentialsX Spawn addon installed and enable spawn on join option. If it stills not work, increase spawn teleport enforcement priority in Essentials config to "higher" or "highest"

Creating a cross-play network

I'm trying to follow tutorials on YT but I'm not getting the "Geyser-Spigot" folder like the tutorials are showing. This is a bungeecord network so I'm wondering if that has something to do with it. Do I have to do everything through BungeeCord instead of my survival server?

Stable TPS until triple digits -- instant drop

Hello, I own a relatively large 1.8 server. The server will run fine with around 18 to 19 TPS until it reaches triple player counts, where it will almost instantly drop to around 10 immediately, later becoming ~4 TPS as the server reaches a player count of 120 or so. I'm really not sure what to do, and I've provided a link with my timings. Any help is appreciated! Server has 10GB of ram but even at higher player counts it will never use above 7. I do have more ram to allocate though. I'm using velocity if that matters at all....

Is there a way to reset a votifier public key?

My vote sites (votingplugin) are just giving me a long error message saying its an invalid public key when its the same one in the votifier.

Required Hardware for Self-Hosting

I want to self-host a Minecraft server. Up to 20 players, SMP (probably no content mods). Latest Version, server software is Fabric. I don’t have a budget, however, any budget option would be the preferred one. An external host is off the table. I do not care what you think, I am self-hosting, period. I need to know what kind of hardware I will need. Any help would be appreciated. Aside from that being my main question, once we figure out what the hardware will need to be, I’ll need help figuring out what to do software wise. Not as much, of course, because I’m smart like that. Just tips on server optimization....

Connect to mariadb server in docker from external machine

Hey all, I have a mariadb server running in docker and for the life of me I can't figure out how to properly get my 2 external gamemodes (creative and lobby) to connect plugins to the database server without them timing out. It's for sure not a permissions or connectivity issue, because I can connect to them fine intially, but the connection times out after some time. Plugins like luckperms for example will actually time out the player if there are database connectivity issues, making those servers unplayable. If I restart the server, or reload the plugin, it connects just fine. I've increased the max connections to a super high number, ensured the port is published by docker and permissions are correct. I've also increased the ulimit and made it persistent. Any ideas? For those here with experience running database servers in docker, how did you connect external clients to it without it timing out?...

Is their anyway to make a server on B1.7.3 without using offline mode?

Authenication doesn't work on any version predating 1.0, and the only working solution I've found is to disable online mode. One issue, I don' t want to do this as the servers whitelisted for me an my friends and I don't want to use a random password thing thats jank or just hopefully pray that no one guesses the whitelisted username or something.

Change world environment?

Using a pre-rendered Earth Map combined with ores from mods - Create/IE - Forge 1.20.1 server

Hello, currently bashing my head against a wall trying to get ores from our modpack into an Earth Map, which is pre-rendered obviously once I import it to the server. I know the only way is to retrogen but after a lot of research we'd have to change versions to get a mod that does this, it seems. I'd love to know if anyone has ever gotten an earth map with modded ores in it and if possible, how. I tried to Worldpaint surface and merge with a normally generated world but that shot an error message. Thanks so much all....

from what I read, worldpainter can generate modded blocks and ores from mods if you set up a custom underground pockets layer

Entities such as villagers can’t pass through nether portals on 1.21.4 purple
