MechaKeys crashing my pc most likely

I started noticing my PC is crashing and don't know why, turns out I stopped using MechaKeys and my PC stopped crashing. If anyone has any idea why that would be appreciated.

After a few seconds of not clicking/typing, the next sound is muffled.

I don't know if its intentional or not, but it is noticable and kinda weird.

input delay/weird mouse movement

when i use mechakeys i can notice that i get a bit of input delay which i can understand but sometimes my mouse randomly moves, it isnt my mouse because without mechakeys it is fine

If I update my mechakeys to the newer one, will I lose my keycaps?

Im thinking about updating my mechakeys so that it looks a bit more aesthetically pleasing because I’m still using the older version. If I do this, will I lose my keycaps?
