is s&box a game engine?
I initially thought it was a garry's mod successor built in source 2 but last time I checked it seems to have scripting, editors, etc etc so i have no idea

Garry's mod had scripting, and you could create your own custom editors
along with the sauce engine shit
yea lua scripting
but this feels a lot more like an engine, garrys mod felt like a game that you could add things too
its more like roblox with some C# and custom editor, and custom shader support

custom editor support is awesome
just natively add your own tooling into sauce 2 to do whatever you want with
it's fun to see how they are progressing
and if you can build standalone games with it then anything to help free the world of unity hell is appreciated
hell back when the original UI stuff was new, someone made a custom debugger for it written in said UI code
they would actually like to, they arent sure valve will allow it and I am not sure garry has talked to them about it
but garry would be totally down for it
