Organizing and Centering Sidebar content.

I have to mirror an image of a website as close as I can with some creative liberties and I'm having issues getting the sidebar to look anything close to what it shows in the picture. I've been trying to diagnose margin issues for a while and I cant figure out why my icons/links have so much space to the left. Additionally, I'm trying to get my footer to stick to the bottom but also be responsive when the window changes size? Currently, when I change the window size, the text from the body bleeds into it because I have it's position as absolute, but I don't have another answer here.
