Ping spikes on Valorant
Hello and welcome! Thanks for taking a look at this post!
I'd like to address this issue that I'm having to the community, as I know my knowledge in terms of connectivity can be limited, compared to the hardware one. As you can see on the picture, I have sometimes an unstable connection (usually happens when pulling out a gun or ability), and it can be quite handicapping to play with. The screenshot attacked is one of the worst case scenarios, most of the times it's only a peak or two on the graph, but it's very sudden, and can reach up to 230 ms usually.
I have tried a lot of things router wise, laptop wise, and I can't seem to find the origin of the issue. Some information that could be useful can be found below:
Thanks for your time! :D
(1st picture is the result of WinMTR under low usage conditions)
(2nd picture is a worst case scenario happening in game a few weeks ago)

I have tried a lot of things router wise, laptop wise, and I can't seem to find the origin of the issue. Some information that could be useful can be found below:
- Laptop: Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (I7-11800H - RTX 3070 - 32 GB RAM)
- Router: TP Link Archer C80 (AC)
- Router is connected to the ISP Router in LAN, ISP Router still operating as one, but I deactivated the Wi-Fi to block interferences (ISP Router only had 2.4 GHz)
- Router is on Dynamic IP
- All drivers and softwares are up to date
- Issue seems to be happening mostly when there is a traffic already
- Laptop is connected by Wi-Fi to this Router (ISP's router is connected through optical fiber) and LAN cable would be too complicated
- I can sometimes have packet losses between the Router and the Laptop from what it seems (see picture attached)
Thanks for your time! :D
