(Small notice: opening a sketch with layers with the latest release merges all the layers - don't know if this is meant)

I just tested this and it worked: 1. New sketch 2. Draw "1" on the default layer 3. Create new layer 4. Draw "2" on the new layer 5. Save, restart and load Can you send me your .tilt file? And any ideas on what might be different in your case?

Sorry, didn't think about threads 😦 also, I'm going out right now.. I'll try to get back to you tomorrow anyways I'm using openbrush v1.0.185 don't know if that helps Here I am. I created the sketch (with layers) in version v1.0.180, then installed v1.0.185 via sidequest, loaded the sketch in the new version and the layers were gone In about half an hour I will send you the tilt EDIT: nope, job emergency. Will send later

ok. thanks! The version info is helpful - I can test that. I had a slightly different report from someone else - they couldn't select or edit strokes made in the earlier version. I can't reproduce that problem either (even with their .tilt file) but I wonder if the two issues are related.

here! @andybak. Originally it had three layers, one with a dark block, one with white details, and the last one with highlighter stuff

So - I'm seeing a different bug I think. I get three layers. However when I first open the scene the layers panel doesn't show them. But as soon as i interact with it they magically appear

I haven't tried to touch it after I noticed the bug, so I can't honestly tell. Going to check as soon as I can

It's much less serious if it's just the UI glitch I saw. But definitely need to still fix it.

@andybak reporting back with some findings (v 1.0.185, Oculus Quest 2 v47421700959100000) 1. the layers don't appear until one of the following actions is taken: - add new layer - hide/show layer (over the only visible layer, the "Main"). 2. if you close the sketch and open it again (reload it, or load another one and the load the first one back) the layers are visible 3. if you close the app and open it again, the layers are NOT visible until the actions at point one are repeated. some additional stuff: A. the entire UI state (which panels are open and where they are) is not preserved if the app is closed and reopened: it is instead preserved if another sketch is loaded or if you reload the same sketch I. if editing an already existing sketch, if you delete (x icon) a layer with some stuff inside WITHOUT clearing it (bin icon) beforehand , the sketch can't be saved-overwrited, instead: II. on the press of the save-overwrite button, the entire UI freezes (you can still look around and the joysticks are tracked) and the only remedy is a forced exit
